Anti-Doomscroll is a Chrome extension that hides addictive recommendation feeds on YouTube, X/Twitter, and Reddit. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data.

No accounts or sign-ups required
No analytics or tracking scripts
No cookies
No data sent to external servers
No browsing history collected
No page content is read — only CSS styling is applied to hide elements

How It Works

Anti-Doomscroll injects CSS stylesheets on supported sites to hide recommendation feeds:

YouTube: Hides recommended videos, Shorts shelf, sidebar suggestions, and autoplay.
X/Twitter: Hides trending topics, "What's happening" section, and "Who to follow."
Reddit: Hides popular feed, recommended communities, and promoted posts.
No content access: The extension does not read, parse, or transmit any page content. It only hides visual elements via CSS.

Permissions

storage: Saves your per-site on/off preferences locally.
activeTab: Sends toggle messages to active tabs when you change settings.
Content scripts (YouTube, X/Twitter, Reddit): Injects CSS to hide recommendation feeds on these sites.

Advertising

Anti-Doomscroll displays non-personalized promotional links in the popup. These are static links — not targeted based on browsing history or personal data.

Third-Party Services

Anti-Doomscroll does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.

Data Storage

The extension stores only your per-site toggle preferences (on/off for YouTube, X/Twitter, Reddit) locally using Chrome's storage API.

Children's Privacy

Anti-Doomscroll does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
