Overview

Color Picker is a Chrome extension that lets you pick any color on screen using the EyeDropper API and copy the color value in hex, RGB, or HSL format. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data.

• No accounts or sign-ups required
• No analytics or tracking scripts
• No cookies
• No data sent to external servers
• No browsing history collected
• No screen content is captured or transmitted — only the single pixel color value is read

How It Works

• EyeDropper API: Uses Chrome's built-in EyeDropper API to let you pick a color from any visible pixel on screen. Only the color value (hex code) is returned — no screenshots or screen content is captured.
• Color conversion: The hex value is converted to RGB and HSL formats locally in the popup.
• Recent colors: Your last 12 picked colors are saved locally using Chrome's storage API for convenience.

Permissions

• storage: Saves your recent color history locally (up to 12 colors).
• activeTab: Required by the EyeDropper API to pick colors from the current page.

Advertising

Color Picker displays non-personalized promotional links in the popup. These are static links — not targeted based on browsing history or personal data.

Third-Party Services

Color Picker does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.

Data Storage

The extension stores only your recent color history (up to 12 hex values) locally using Chrome's storage API. No other data is stored.

Children's Privacy

Color Picker does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
