Overview

Falcon Save is a Chrome extension that lets you right-click any image and save it as JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (none) and how the extension works.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data. All image conversion happens locally on your device.

• No accounts or sign-ups required
• No analytics or tracking scripts
• No cookies
• No data sent to external servers
• No browsing history collected
• No images are uploaded anywhere — conversion is 100% local

How It Works

Falcon Save converts images entirely within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API:

• Image fetching: When you right-click an image and choose a format, the extension fetches the image from the page you are viewing. This is the same request your browser already made to display the image.
• Format conversion: The image is drawn onto an invisible canvas element and exported in your chosen format. This happens entirely on your device.
• Download: The converted image is saved to your computer via Chrome's built-in download manager.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• contextMenus: To add "Falcon Save" options to the right-click menu when you click on an image.
• offscreen: To create a hidden document for image format conversion using the Canvas API.
• downloads: To save the converted image to your computer.
• activeTab: To access the image on the current page when you right-click.
• Host permission (all URLs): To fetch images from any website for local conversion. No data is sent anywhere — this permission is only used to download the image to your device for conversion.

Advertising

Falcon Save displays non-personalized promotional links in the popup. These are static links — they are not targeted based on your browsing history, images, or any personal data. No tracking pixels, cookies, or user profiling is used for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Falcon Save does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.

Data Storage

The extension does not store any data persistently. Images exist only in memory during the conversion process and are discarded immediately after the download begins.

Children's Privacy

Falcon Save does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
