Screenshot Tool is a Chrome extension that captures the visible tab as a PNG image. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data.

• No accounts or sign-ups required
• No analytics or tracking scripts
• No cookies
• No data sent to external servers
• No browsing history collected
• No screenshots are uploaded anywhere — they exist only in memory until you download

How It Works

• Tab capture: Uses Chrome's built-in captureVisibleTab API to take a screenshot of the visible portion of the current tab.
• Download: The screenshot is saved to your computer as a PNG file via a standard download link.
• Copy: Optionally copies the screenshot to your clipboard using the Clipboard API.
• No storage: Screenshots exist only in memory during the session. Nothing is saved to disk until you explicitly download.

Permissions

• activeTab: Required to capture a screenshot of the currently visible tab when the user clicks the capture button.

Advertising

Screenshot Tool displays non-personalized promotional links in the popup. These are static links — not targeted based on browsing history or personal data.

Third-Party Services

Screenshot Tool does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services.

Data Storage

The extension does not store any data persistently. Screenshots exist only in browser memory until the popup is closed.

Children's Privacy

Screenshot Tool does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
