Overview

Smart Clipboard is a Chrome extension that uses on-device AI (Gemini Nano) to reformat text you paste into it. All AI processing happens entirely on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data. All AI processing happens on your device using Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model.

No accounts or sign-ups required
No analytics or tracking scripts
No cookies
No data sent to external servers
No text you paste is uploaded anywhere
No browsing history collected
AI runs 100% on-device — no cloud API calls

How It Works

Text input: You paste or type text into the side panel. This text stays in your browser only.
On-device AI: Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model processes your text locally on your device. No data is sent to any server.
Output: The reformatted text is displayed in the side panel for you to copy.

Permissions

activeTab: Required for clipboard paste functionality.
sidePanel: Opens the Smart Clipboard interface in Chrome's side panel.
storage: Reserved for future preference storage (e.g., default format).

Advertising

Smart Clipboard displays non-personalized promotional links in the side panel. These are static links — not targeted based on your text, browsing history, or personal data.

Third-Party Services

Smart Clipboard does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or data collection services. The AI model (Gemini Nano) is built into Chrome and runs entirely on your device.

Data Storage

The extension does not store any text you process. Text exists only in the side panel during your session and is discarded when you close the panel.

Children's Privacy

Smart Clipboard does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.
