Tone Changer is a Chrome extension that uses on-device AI (Gemini Nano) to rewrite text in different tones and styles. All processing happens entirely on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal data. All AI processing happens on your device.

• No accounts or sign-ups required
• No analytics or tracking scripts
• No cookies
• No data sent to external servers
• No text is uploaded anywhere
• AI runs 100% on-device

Permissions

• activeTab: Detects text selection on the current page.
• sidePanel: Opens the tone changer interface.
• storage: Reserved for future preferences.
• Content script (all URLs): Detects text selection. Only selected text is sent to the side panel.

Advertising

Tone Changer displays non-personalized promotional links. Not targeted based on your text or browsing history.
